receives a benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance,
Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-
Price Lunch.
Lifeline is the FCC's program to help make communications services more affordable for low-income
consumers. Lifeline provides subscribers a discount on qualifying monthly telephone service, broadband Internet
service, or bundled voice-broadband packages purchased from participating wireline or wireless providers. The
discount helps ensure that low-income consumers can afford 21st century broadband and the access it provides
to jobs, healthcare, and educational resources.
After completing the online application, call our office with your confirmation code to activate your discount.

Franklin Telephone Co., Inc Lifeline participants’ bill will show:

Federal Lifeline Credit of $9.25/month
•
Vermont Lifeline Credit of $6.25/month
•
Access Recovery Charge reduced to $0
•
No charge for calls to local 285, 933, and 868 numbers

Only one Lifeline benefit—either wireless or landline phone, home internet or cell phone data plan—is allowed
